Book & Toy Drive

It is during the holiday period that many charities struggle to provide for the children which they have in their care. In order to support non-profit groups, our team at the Wahegru Foundation decided to lend a helping hand by raising a collection of books and toys for orphaned and disabled children over the Christmas period.

In choosing to donate to Children’s Society and Acorns Children’s Hospice for the great work which they do with children, our volunteers were overwhelmed with the response that came in from generous donors across the country.

Within the span of 8 weeks, the Book & Toy Drive had managed to raise an amount of £31,501.33 in donations of books and toys. Of the £31,501.33 which came in; £2,693.66 was received in cash donations and the remaining £28,807.67 amounted to the RRP value of the items donated.

Taken aback by such love and support from our corporate sponsors, non-profit sponsors and individual donors, we now look forward to growing the Book & Toy Drive to reach even more children over the coming years.
